"A handprinted linocut of our handsome Leg-Horn Cockerel. The handprinted nature of this art means that every print is slightly different so each one is unique. When I carved this image I tried to convey the patterns and textures of feathers, when mixing my inks I wanted to illustrate the array of greys and blues.

I carve my designs out of Linoleum or Japanese vinyl, roll them up with ink and handprint them. It’s printed on off-white 220gm Fabriano paper."
