Puffin on Rathlin' Bird Print

‘A digital print featuring my linocut of a puffin head. A highlight of the summer is visiting them at the RSPB reserve on Rathlin Island to see the puffin colony. They are so distinctive with their flat-sided heads and large colourful bills. They choose a mate for life, sadly their numbers have declined dramatically over recent years.

People who like my work love wildlife, coastal walks, the sea, nature, seabirds, sea swimming, the great outdoors. This would work well in a set of framed prints with ‘Oystercatcher’, ‘Curlew on Shore’, ‘Two Puffins’. Perfect for a holiday cottage, in a kitchen or bathroom evoking thoughts of holidays and the seaside. Graphic, eye-catching, endearing, colourful, bold, orange, yellow, deep blue, black.

In my making process I carve the design out of linoleum or Japanese vinyl, roll it up with ink and hand print it. ‘

This digital version is printed on 140gm textured paper and mounted in off-white card. It is a signed open edition print. Overall size including mount 25.5 x 25.5cm, cello wrapped for protection.
